In the Designing Online Learning in Higher Education class, my group and I created a six-week, asynchronous, online course through Brightspace. We were responsible meeting instructional and supplementary minute requirements, as well as developing assignments for assessment and corresponding rubrics. We prioritized opportunities to build community in an asynchronous, online course, as well as offered options to submit assignments in different formats based on learner preference (e.g., inviting students to participate in the discussion boards in written format or via a video submission through Flipgrid).
